As per physics, Energy is the ability to do work. But there is much more beyond that, it doesn't have limits.
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed in one sense. But when it is transferred to other, there comes the creation and destruction. One of the basic thing for carrying the energy is electrons. So when an energy is transferred to light and heat, electrons goes through the conducting material like tungsten, it will generates light and heat, why won't we think its reverse engineering.
This energy is changing its property when it transferred to other electrons or the electrons near to the element have different property, thereby and this creation is based on a difference of something, hence by this we know that sun's light have both the heat and light energy so if we are giving a opposite difference(active) then the energy will be taken back to the conductor.
So the main thing is the difference (as like potential difference for flow of electrons), this potential difference need to be created.
As per my sense each energy have it's own property and each energy have it's own grade, like running energy>heat>light. So when sunlight comes, we have to make the definite electrons have to reach in the conductor and that electrons have to be low graded and hence the energy will be transferred, but the thing is property of electrons that to take that energy, it will have definite capacity , so making that capacity little lower than light for taking each electron, after getting the lowered energy, the next thing is that to run the electrons with this energy (it can be achieved by potential difference)
A spark that blows in my mind just now is that the when a sunlight comes, we have to make a box with vacuum and a conductor (wire), (thereby the energy it will enters through a mirrored box having only electrons with low carrying capacity, the main thing to distinguish a low carrying capacity is that founding a stone or other mixture and keeping that stone in a vacuum box and thereby heating or by just keeping that stone or mixture will take that energy and will pass through the wire,) sure).
So there also to find the mixture or the compound, I think without any sense we can go through trial and error method and make it success.
